Cobb - which is where the parts vibrate in a tub filled with Cobb (beads made from corn cob) to remove the oils the cobb sifts out and the parts are then put back into a metal tote and onto the next area.
Overtime: Occasionally. Sometimes during the week, sometimes on a Saturday, usually never more than 5 hours and usually it's voluntary.
Ability to Lift: 30 to 50 lbs. Regularly, with bending and stooping

Set up, operate and maintain the Parts Cleaning department to ensure that manufactured product meets quality requirements.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS AND JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Understand how to document and move materials to the next operation.
Must be able to read and understand the print and/or routing requirements for parts cleaning.
Responsible for the daily lubrication of assigned machines.
Responsible for the daily visual inspection of the hoist for any damages or wear prior to use.
The skill and ability to clean all parts for secondary operations.
Must have continuous mental attention as duties are diversified and require specific lot control processes.
Attention to detail is necessary as errors may be serious, usually not subject to direct verification or check.
Must learn to operate and maintain all equipment used in this process including the Shop Floor Reporting Control System.
Must pump oil from tank to tank.
Maintains good housekeeping in assigned area.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor or his/her designee.
